Program description
Rebuzz provides software to small service businesses (such as plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, roofers, and dental practices). Our text messaging program has one purpose: asking a customer to review the service they received, after their appointment is complete, and only when that customer has explicitly asked to be texted.
Messages are sent on behalf of the business the customer hired. They contain a short request and a link to that business’s review page. No offers, discounts, promotions, or advertising of any kind are sent under this program, and no reply is expected or required.
Who sends the messages
Messages are sent on behalf of the Rebuzz subscriber — the local business the customer hired. Rebuzz provides the technology and operates the messaging on that business’s behalf; the subscriber is the sender of record for consent purposes, and every message identifies that business by name.
Every Rebuzz subscriber agrees, in our Terms of Service, to use this program only as described here: to contact their own customers, only with explicit consent collected through the flow below, and never to send marketing content or to upload purchased, rented, or scraped phone lists.
How end users opt in
Consent is explicit and affirmative. When booking an appointment on a subscriber’s public booking page, the end user sees a checkbox — never pre-checked, never required to complete the booking — labeled:
Text me a review request after my appointment
Optional. By checking this box you agree to receive up to 3 text messages asking you to review your experience. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.
Checking that box records a timestamped consent entry containing the date and time, the page the consent was given on, the IP address, and the exact wording shown at that moment. Our systems will not send a message under this program to anyone without such an entry. Withdrawing consent removes it, and no further messages are sent.
We do not treat placing a phone call, filling in a contact field, or doing business with a subscriber as consent to receive text messages.
What you will receive
After your appointment with a Rebuzz subscriber, and only if you checked the box described above, you may receive:
- One text message asking you to review your experience, with a link to the business’s review page
- At most two reminders — roughly three and seven days later — if you have not yet opened the link
Every message clearly identifies the business it comes from. Every message includes the ability to reply STOP to opt out. Opening the review link ends the sequence immediately, with or without leaving a review.
Sample messages
These are the actual messages sent under this program. Bracketed fields are filled in per business and per customer.
- Hi [Customer], thanks for choosing [Business Name]. If we did a good job, would you mind leaving a quick review? It really helps us out: https://rebuzz.app/r/[id] Reply STOP to opt out.
- Hi [Customer]! It’s [Business Name] again — if you have a spare minute, a quick review would help us a lot: https://rebuzz.app/r/[id] Reply STOP to opt out.
- Hi [Customer], last reminder — promise! A quick review would mean a lot to us at [Business Name]: https://rebuzz.app/r/[id] Reply STOP to opt out.
Links always point to the rebuzz.app domain. We do not use public URL shorteners.
Message frequency
At most 3 messages per completed appointment, and the sequence is not recurring. You will not receive marketing or promotional messages under this program.
Scope of this policy
This policy covers the review-request program described above, and only that program. Any messaging we send to our own subscribers about their own account is governed separately, is registered separately, and is never used to reach a subscriber’s customers.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply. Rebuzz and its subscribers do not charge you for messages; your wireless carrier’s standard rates apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
HELP command
Reply HELP (or INFO) to any message to receive an auto-reply identifying the sending business, our support contact, and how to opt out:
[Business Name]: review request texts. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out. Help: [email protected]
STOP command
Reply STOP to any message to immediately unsubscribe from further messages from that Rebuzz subscriber. The following keywords are also honored as opt-out: STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT. You will receive this confirmation and no further messages:
You will no longer receive messages from this business. Reply START to opt back in.
Opting out is honored across everychannel that business uses to reach you — text and email — not just the one you replied on. To resume, reply START (also YES or UNSTOP).
Supported carriers
The Rebuzz SMS program supports major US carriers including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and their MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Rebuzz does not sell, rent, lease, or share end-user phone numbers or SMS content with third parties for marketing purposes. The only third parties that ever handle your number under this program are the messaging providers that deliver the message itself. See our Privacy Policy for full details on how we handle data.
